How to Create and Publish Shifts

Creating Shifts

Navigate to Schedule.

The Grid View

  • Rows: Employees.
  • Columns: Days of the week.

Adding a Shift

  1. Click any empty cell.
  2. Start/End Time: Required (e.g., 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
  3. Role: Select the job this shift is for (e.g., "Server").
  4. Location: If you manage multiple sites, confirm the location.
  5. Notes: Optional instructions (e.g., "Patio duty").

Publishing

New shifts are Drafts (yellow/striped) and invisible to staff.

  1. Click Publish (top right).
  2. Choose Notify:
    • All Staff: Everyone on the schedule gets an alert.
    • Affected Only: Only those with new/changed shifts.
