Switch hours between decimals and hours:minutes
Choose how durations display without changing the recorded punches.
Step by step
- Open Timesheets and find the hours-format selector beside the period and export controls.
- Choose Standard Decimal (4.5) or Hours & Minutes (04:30).
- Review the same period totals in the chosen format.
- For export defaults, review the matching format setting in Settings under Time Clock.
Troubleshooting
Is 4.5 hours the same as 4 hours 50 minutes?
No. 4.5 decimal hours equals 4 hours 30 minutes. Hours:minutes formatting changes the display of a duration, not the shift’s clock-in or clock-out time.
